Holo Audio presents the big brother of its CYAN DAC, the CYAN 2. Like its predecessor, this is a balanced R2R DAC, based on discrete resistor networks. In addition, it operates in NOS (Non-Over-Sampling) mode for very pure, authentic signal restitution. Here are the main improvements on version 2 of the CYAN DAC:It is equipped with two independent R2R networks, the first of which handles the primary DA conversion of PCM streams, while the second (with vector stepping) handles the DA conversion of DSD streams. A new, more efficient deglitching technology is integrated. It doesn't generate any unwanted noise or effects. The CYAN 2 has better measurements, with a SINAD of over 106dB and a dynamic range of over 127dB. It now supports sampling rates up to PCM 32bit 1536Mhz and native DSD up to DSD1024 via its USB port. The USB interface uses proprietary software with ultra-low latency and a data transmission reliability rate 2 to 4 times higher than usual interfaces on the market. Native DSD supportHolo Audio's CYAN 2 DAC is one of the first to support native DSD via its R2R ladder architecture. The CYAN 2 module has been specially optimized for this application, and runs on MAC (DOP), Linux (DOP), and Windows/PC (Direct Native and DOP).
