The main parts are the Nilai500 amplifier module, PS500 power supply and the DIY Monoblock case. The amplifier module and power supply combination enable the latest and best performance available from the Nilai technology. This amplifier can deliver all its power from as low as 2 ohm impedance combined with ultra low distortion, very low idle loss, and very noise levels. Chief distinguishing features are flat frequency response irrespective of load impedance, nearly frequency independent distortion behaviour. This results in performances such as the max output power of 500Wrms at 4 ohm, a Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) of 134dB and astonishing distorting level of 0.00015%. An amplifier is only as good as the power supply it contains. In this Nilai500 DIY mono amplifier, the power supply providing the power for the amplifier is a compact, high power, highly efficient PFC power supply, including standby power supply. Including these properties and carefully selected high-grade power supply components makes this technology ideal for powering the Nilai500 amplifier module. The aluminum enclosure houses the Hypex Nilai500 amplifier module and power supply, the best thermal material for audio devices. The in- and output connections are provided through high-quality gold plated binding posts and XLR-chassis from Neutrik.
