The Matrix MS-1 audio network player is an extremely complete streamer that forms part of the brand's M series along with the MP-1 preamplifier and MA-1 power amplifier. This new series features a new design, both in terms of appearance and internal structure. Indeed, the MS-1 network player features a balanced structure with a combo of AKM AK4499EX + AK4191 chips per channel, enabling it to support high-resolution PCM up to 24bit 768kHz, native DSD up to DSD512 and MQA streams. An attractive display with touch-sensitive controls and the MA Player solution, coupled with the MA Remote App 4.0, provide a pleasant user experience. Numerous digital inputs (USB-B, Toslink optical, SPDIF coaxial, USB-A storage, SSD slot) and analog inputs (XLR balanced, RCA and phono) enable the Streamer MS-1 to be integrated into any audio system configuration. Matrix MS-1: dual AKM AK4499EX+AK4191 DAC comboThe MS-1 is the first product of the brand based on the AKM AK4499EX+AK4191 high-end DAC chip solution. Each AKM chip combo works independently per channel for an unrivalled level of precision. The MS-1's architecture is therefore balanced, with dual-mono DAC operation. This enables the MS-1 to process signals over a wide dynamic range and retain the finest details of the original signal. It supports high-resolution PCM 24bit 768kHz, native DSD up to DSD512 and MQA sampling rates. Matrix MS-1 MA PLAYER: a sophisticated interfaceThe soul of the MS-1 network player lies largely in its MA Player interface, a Linux-based software optimized and specially developed for audio applications. On the MS-1, the on-screen interface gives you access to all the information and commands essential to a pleasant user experience. Matrix MS-1: PCM resampling and DSD conversionAn asynchronous PCM oversampling and DSD conversion system enables all audio data to be processed digitally. Thanks to asynchronous resampling and interpolation operations, unwanted noise is isolated and detail enhanced. The data is then converted to DSD, enhancing the density and depth of the final sound reproduction. Different configurations of oversampling processing and conversion between PCM and DSD are available to let you experiment with the possible differences in the final rendering of your audio signal.
